So, I’m usually not prepared for Wednesdays – wait, what’s so special about Wednesdays you ask- nothing, except for that Wednesday is hump day and getting over the “hump” can be really hard sometimes!
For instance, I usually run out of left overs by the middle of the week, my brain is usually fried from Monday and Tuesday, and at this point, I just want it to be Friday already!
Not only that, I also feel so blah and unmotivated to do anything special- especially when it comes to cooking. In fact, Wednesday is almost always associated with “we’re having eggs for dinner” day because eggs are the only thing I have the energy to make.
HOWEVER, last Wednesday I spiced things up with Shan’s Achar Gosht Mix! I have to say that my family was shocked that we were not having eggs and that I had it somewhat together- and I kinda surprised myself too
If you too want to spice things up for the middle of the week (or any other day of the week), then follow this easy, slightly varied, version of Shan’s Achar Gosht:
1 kg stir fry beef
1-2 tablespoons Shan’s Ginger Garlic Paste
5 green chilies
1-3 tablespoons lemon juice
156 ml tomato paste
2 cups yoghurt
1-3 tablespoons of oil
1 packet of Shan Achar Gosht Mix
1. Chop the green chili peppers and cover them with a mix of 1 tablespoon of Shan Achar Gosht Mix and lemon juice. Set aside.
2. In hot oil, add meat, Shan’s Ginger Garlic paste, yogurt, and the remaining Shan Achar Gosht Mix. Stir fry on high heat until the meat is cooked.
3. Add tomato paste and green chilis. Stir until combined and cook until meat separates from oil.
